There are a variety of activities to get involved with at 1st Central. Whether you join the Employee Consultative Committee, become a member of Fun Central or take to the pitch with the 1st Central football team.
Fun Central is our sports and social committee run by a group of employees who meet regularly to organise events in and out of work for the whole Company. These events include football matches against other local teams, staff parties, events for charity, such as pub quizzes and fun runs, and many more. Our location is close to the centre of Haywards Heath, which also means there are regular opportunities for staff to socialise together outside of work.
The 1st Central football team won the Action for Children Football Tournament for the third year in a row in 2011. Joining the team is a great way to get involved in the Company, but if sliding tackles are not your specialty, then being a spectator and supporting the team is good fun too.

Bromley and Beckenham Hockey Club
Bromley & Beckenham was formed by the merger of two of the oldest hockey clubs in London and is now in its 6th season. They have over 275 members in the junior section making them one of the biggest clubs in the country and 1st Central are pleased to be supporting the leading club in South East London.
The Greater Haywards Heath Bike Ride 2012
The second Greater Haywards Heath Bike Ride will be held on Sunday 1st April 2012, following the huge success of the 2011 event which, to date, has raised over £11,000 for charity. We are delighted to be one of the key sponsors for this event that brings the community together to raise money for good causes.

I started working at 1st Central in 2009 as a part-time Customer Service Agent. I soon turned full-time, and moved to the Finance department. I have since progressed to become Supervisor for the Premium Reconciliation team. With the support of 1st Central I have recently passed my first accountancy exams, and I have really benefited from the opportunity to work for different departments within the Company. I enjoy being part of an ever-growing team. I am also very proud of the 1st Central football team’s record and enjoy every game we play!
