At 1st Central we understand that our employees are the key to our continued success and as such we provide comprehensive learning and professional education opportunities. For example, we offer employees the opportunity to study for the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) qualifications so that they have a greater understanding of insurance products, and the industry, meaning they can provide exceptional service to our customers.
We also offer a host of bespoke in-house training courses and workshops which are designed to develop individual’s skills and knowledge within specific areas.

These range from customer service skills workshops to organisational skills workshops and many more. In addition to formal training, we have a mentoring scheme in place to support new employees in their role.
We believe in developing people and try to promote from within our own organisation, allowing individuals to progress into other roles, or to other areas of the business. We therefore advertise all of our vacancies internally, and also offer a number of secondments to other departments so that employees can learn new skills.

Since beginning my time at 1st Central as a Sales Agent in 2009, I have been promoted to the position of Senior Sales agent. This extra responsibility enables me to assist the agents, and offer support to the Supervisors, and helps me to develop my own skills. 1st Central has also enrolled me in a home learning course to gain a Diploma in Insurance, which gives me the opportunity to progress within the Company in different departments. I enjoy working here as there is an upbeat atmosphere; the people are friendly, approachable and always willing to help.
